Cobar Little A’s club was well represented at the Little Athletics NSW 2022/23 Regional Carnival in Dubbo at Barden Park over the weekend with 13 Cobar club members qualifying to compete at the event.
Club president Troy Knight said they had “a mixed bag of results” with the Cobar athletes putting in a big effort over both days of competition.
“We got a couple of PBs, a few kids making it to the finals and possibly a couple might have made it to State,” Troy reported.
“With the season full of obstacles and not being able to do any Long Jump for 12 months, the club couldn’t be any prouder of the efforts of every single athlete and also the parents/grandparents that came along to show their support.”
Competing in the Girls Under 10 age group, Lauren O’Sullivan finished 6th in her 100m Sprint, 8th in 200m Sprint, 5th in High Jump and 7th in Long Jump.
