Long time resident Margaret Potter was given a farewell by friends at the Empire Hotel on Saturday. After calling Cobar home for the past 55 years where she and husband Ernie raised their four children, Margaret is now retiring to Toowoomba where she will be closer to her children and grandchildren. Over the years Margaret has volunteered her time to a number of community organisations including the Cobar VIEW Club, the Brennan Centre Committee and the Cobar Swimming Club (when her children were younger). Margaret said she will miss her many friends and the town of Cobar very much. “Cobar will always be home!” she said.
