The Cobar Roosters Under 18s rugby league side had their first hit out of the season in Gulgong on Saturday. The team had been preparing to contest the Castlereagh Youth League Knockout however it ended with the Cobar side only getting one game against a combined Dunedoo/Coonamble team. The Cobar boys, with no subs themselves, finished with a dominant 34-0 win. Cobar Roosters president and Group president Chris Deighton said the group is working to ensure the Youth League players get more opportunities to play this season. ▪ Photo contributed
