Buffaloes kick off fundraiser

A project to raise funds to build memorials at the Cobar Cemetery to honour former Cobar residents Kate McKenzie and Johnny the Balt (John Kowalski) has been kicked off with a generous donation of $500 from the members of the Cobar Buffalo Lodge. Pictured above is Jill Weaving, who’s heading up the graves restoration project, with Bev and Terry Clyde from the Buffaloes last week. Details of how to make a donation to the project can be found in the committee’s advertisement on Page 16.
