With the start of school holidays this week the Cobar Caravan Park would normally
be a thriving place however the COVID pandemic has taken its toll and the park has
been very quiet. With the Victorian, Queensland and South Australian borders all
closed and a month of lockdown, there hasn’t been a lot of visitors staying at the
park. The park’s operator, Sustainable Park Solutions, has made a request to Cobar
Shire Council for some rent relief to offset the losses they have incurred. Councillors
will consider the request at tomorrow’s Ordinary Council Meeting.
