After a lot of uncertainty, the 2020/2021 season of Little A’s is going ahead with the club holding their first night of competition on Monday at Ward Oval.
Pictured above are some of the large group of Tiny Tots (3-5 year olds), Hudson Simon, Heidi Betcke, Michael Arnold, Lenny Hill, Liam Peatey, Ellie Traynor and Nixon Shields, who had fun taking part in sack races.
Little A’s NSW Western Plains Zone Coordinator Bruce Cox attended the club’s trial session on Monday to offer his support to the new committee and parent helpers. Mr Cox said he was very pleased to see that the Cobar club, which has almost a 40 year history, didn’t fold this season.
Mr Cox will continue to offer his support to the committee as they settle into the season.
He is also keen to work with the committee and Cobar Shire Council to upgrade the club’s facilities at Ward Oval. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mr Cox said there will be no Little A’s Zone or Regional carnivals held this season, however Cobar athletes aged nine and above will be able to compete at a State Qualifier car-nival in Dubbo in February 2021.
