Parents and children spent the morning with visiting kinesiologists Brendan and Gail O’Hara at the Cobar Mobile Children’s Services playgroup session on Monday. The O’Haras travel the country and, in particular to regional areas, running sound healing and early childhood workshops that aim to create and strengthen neural networks in the brain to improve learning and physical skills. The educational sessions are
accompanied by music resources for 3-8 year olds which blend child-friendly music with fun movement activities. The workshops can help improve concentration and
focus, increase self-esteem, improve co-ordination and balance, gain greater visual and special awareness and calm behaviour. While in Cobar, the O’Haras also held a workshop for educators and teachers from the local schools and child care centres.
