The Cobar Senior Representative Netball Team competed at the 2019 HART Senior State Titles hosted by the Camden & District Netball Association over the long weekend and finished with five wins.
The team played 21 games over three days at this year’s State Titles and recorded wins against Eurobadalla (26-8), Gunnedah (19-10), Mt Druitt (22-18), Cessnock (15-13) and Cooma (15-14).
Playing in Opens Division 2, the Cobar side had a tough draw for Day 1 on Saturday including a match against the eventual winners, Ulladulla, which they lost 18-6.
They did however finish the day with a nine goals win over Gunnedah.
Day 2 was also a tough slog for Cobar with only one win (against Mt Druitt) from their seven games.
The Cobar team finished their competition on a high starting off Day 3 with a tough two point win over Cessnock.
They shined on the court in their convincing 18 points win over Eurobodalla and fought hard for their one goal win over Cooma.
The Cobar team was unlucky in a couple of other games only narrowly losing to Goulburn and Narrabri, both by three points.
