It’s been six years since Cobar’s Ballz n All band made their debut on the Gig on the Grass big stage and they’ll be back to rev up the crowd this Saturday as part of this year’s Grey Mardi Gras entertainment.
The band was created in 2019 for the purpose of a ‘once-off’ performance for Cobar’s first Grey Mardi Gras festival.
The reaction they got that night from the community was so overwhelmingly positive that they decided to stay together and pursue more gigs.
Since then the band has gained a reputation for being one of the most exciting and in-demand bands in regional NSW.
Led by their lively and explosive frontman Degen Brown, Ballz n All are a classic/pub rock cover band who always bring a top notch and high energy show.
Degen is supported by high quality musicians including Kahlia Martin (who’s been a lead guitarist for Beccy Cole and Altiyan Childs) and Mark Kotynia on the bass guitar (who’s also played with Altiyan Childs and Crakajak).
Ballz n All have been in high demand since that first Gig on the Grass concert and have played at numerous events including the Duck Creek Races (supporting Shannon Noll, Jon Stevens and The Choirboys), Beerfest celebrations, the Bungle Rumble Festival (supporting The Black Sorrows and Chocolate Starfish), the Trangie Truck & Tractor show (supporting Adam Brand) and the Parkes Elvis Festival.
The band released their debut EP “46” in January last year.
They are taking time out from their busy touring schedule to stay at home and will return to the big stage for Saturday’s Gig on the Grass concert.
Also on the entertainment bill are The Blues Brothers Rebooted tribute band, Shelley Minson (singing Rock n Roll hits from the 1950s) and singer Terry Leonard
(with hits from the 1950s and 1960s).
