15 years of service

Cobar Shire Council human resources manager Michelle Maidens presented John Collins and Stella Hennessy with certificates for 15 years of service to Cobar Shire Council last Thursday at the museum. Council’s tourism and public relations manager John Martin praised both employees for their dedication and service. “John is a big part of the reason why the heritage centre is consistently voted 4½ on Trip Advisor and visitors are regularly praising John in the visitors book for his friendly and very knowledgeable service,” Mr Martin said. Ms Hennessy began volunteering in 1988 during the development of the museum and in 2000 she was employed as a part time maintenance person/cleaner. “Since then Stella has been a valued, committed member of the team and also filling in as a curator at times, caring for the many displays in the centre,” Mr Martin said.
