Visiting photography exhibition captures life on the land

Cobar Library assistant Janet Place viewed some of the images currently on display at the library as part of the Art4Ag exhibition touring the western region.

The Outback Arts ‘Art4Ag’ photography exhibition is currently on display at the Great Cobar Heritage Centre and Cobar Shire Library.

Outback Arts communications and touring coordinator Maddi Ward said the Art4Ag photography competition, with the theme ‘Feeding and Clothing the World: Powering the Australian Economy’ was designed to celebrate National Ag Day, on November 21, 2018.

“Whether it’s helping feed a hungry world, caring for our environment or creating jobs in disadvantaged communities, every day our famers #GrowForGood,” Ms Ward said.

The exhibition is made up of 38 images from 18 locals and farmers from across the western region.

Some of the subjects photographed include shearing, mustering and farming.

The exhibition is currently touring the region including displays in Warren, Bourke and Brewarrina and is in Cobar until June.
