Several birthdays were acknowledged at Cobar VIEW Club’s August meeting at the Empire Hotel last week.
They included Joan Knight, who was pre-sented with flowers at the meeting for her ‘significant’ birthday by club president Enid English.
Joan Wells also celebrated a ‘very signifi-cant’ birthday and flowers were delivered to her home.
While the meeting’s invited guest speaker’s talk had to be re-scheduled to next month due to illness, members reported it was good to share some time with three guests who attend-ed who have Cobar connections that go “way back”.—contributed
