There was an impressive line-up of nominees for this year’s Australia Day Sportsperson of the Year award. Australia Day ambassador Dr Clio Cresswell is pictured at the awards ceremony at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool on Sunday with accomplished local horserider Zac Boland, Murray Harland (representing the Cobar Yabbies Senior Men’s Swimming Club), and golfer Narelle Kriz along with the category winner, Rugby 7s player and track and field athlete Ben Griffiths, and acting mayor Peter Abbott.
