Regional Australia Bank’s Regional Opera-tions Manager Nathan Merchant said they were committed to providing support to the local communities in which they operate.
He said the primary objective of the Commu-nity Partnership Program is to benefit commu-nities while also increasing their engagement with them.
When new customers sign up to open an account with the Regional Australia Bank, they are given the opportunity to join the program and nominate a local sporting or charity group of their choice to support.
The bank calculates the customer’s average annual balance and donates the equivalent of 0.75 per cent to the chosen group for the finan-cial year.
For recipient organisation accounts, the bank also donates the equivalent of 0.40 per cent of the average annual balance to recipient organi-sations supporting themselves.
Mr Merchant said they are proud to continue to deliver this program, which is now in its 14th year.
He said this year the program reached anoth-er new milestone of donating more than $2 million to communities.
