Cobar Public School participated in National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) last Wednesday. Held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association, a new picture book is chosen each year writtten and illustrated by Australians. This year Chicken Divas by Lucinda Gifford was the book chosen to be read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. NSS is a fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy. Pictured is Rachel Gentles and her 3/4G class dressed up as their favourite book characters.

Sienna braved the shave

Cobar Public School student Sienna Campbell has raised $3,658 for the Leukaemia Foundation’s Shave for a Cure, exceeding her initial goal of $3,000.
