Cobar Amateur Pistol Club hosted  a 10m Air Pistol event and Responsible Shooting Training on Saturday for Cobar Show’s Miss Young Woman entrants.

Young ladies between the ages of 12-24  had an introduction to pistol shooting with a 10m Air Pistol event which resulted in some excellent groupings.

The Under 12 years entrants shot with Nerf guns (with paint on the foam projectiles)  with some competitive scores recorded as well as lots of fun and laughter.

In the club’s 25m Standard Pistol event, John Woloczij earned himself a new handicap (of 131) after he shot 455 off pistol and, with his previous handicap of 193, finished with a total score of 648.

Other scores from the day were: Chris Driver 520-82-602 (and a new handicap of 72); Adam Green 491-109-600 (new handicap of 98); Michael Garbutt 485-80-565; Geoff Passfield 348-192-540; Mark Oborn 250-275-525 and Geoff Clayton 361-144-505.
