
commencing duties on Monday. Constable Martin and his young family made the move to Cobar from Sydney’s Northern Beaches where he’s served for the past two and a half years. He said policing in Cobar is definitely a lot quieter, as he’s used to working with a minimum of eight car crews on duty (ie 16 cops) whereas in Cobar it’s just two. Constable Martin said he chose a career in policing after having grown
up in a “not ideal background” and believed that it was a way he could make a
