More hay to help farmers

Approximately 300 bales of rice hay were delivered for the use of farmers in the Cobar Shire last week. Cobar Shire’s administration officer Brytt Moore (who is assisting with the local drought appeal) said council staff also helped to hand out donated salt blocks, hampers and dog food. The donation came from Lions Australia with Dubbo Regional Council deputy mayor (and Lions Club member) Anne Jones and Cobar mayor Lilliane Brady pushing for the assistance to help Cobar farmers. Brytt advises more hay is heading for Mount Hope later this week from a Sikh community group wanting to help the Cobar area. Pictured is Tim Arnold helping to unload the hay last week.
