Mental health discussion

After a short break, Cobar’s Mental Health Network group has reconvened and met on Monday afternoon at the Library community meeting room. The aim of the group is to bring together all of the local services who provide mental health support to provide a coordinated approach to their delivery in Cobar. The group is working towards creating a mental health calendar and plans to hold a number of events that will benefit Cobar residents. At Monday’s meeting the group discussed a Social Media Workshop, Sexual Assault training, Stress Down Day, Mental Health Month activities, the work the group Batyr is doing and the idea of a Wellness Hub at Cobar High School. The group will meet again next month to progress their ideas further.
