Life Membership for loyalty

The Cobar Services Club bestowed Life Membership on five hard working members at
the club’s annual general meeting on Monday night. Chris Boucher, Julie Claus,
Diane Slater, Colleen Boucher OAM and Susie Loughran (pictured above) were
presented with Life Membership cards by the club’s secretary/manager Linda Carter.
Claud Parisi was also honoured as the 2024 Club Patron and a new board was
elected after a ballot vote. The club’s auditor, Michael Griffiths from Luka Group,
presented the audited 2023/2024 financial report and congratulated the club for
achieving a net profit for the year of $10,270 compared to last year’s loss of $19,443.
Suggestions from the floor for the club to once again consider amalgamation and to
reinstate a bowling green both didn’t gain favour with the members present.
