Coaching staff from the Celtic Football Club were in Cobar on Saturday to conduct junior soccer training sessions. Claudine Griffiths from the Cobar Junior Soccer Club reports almost 80 young players attended the sessions which was a great turn out considering the camp was held during the school holidays and on a long weekend. She said the coaching sessions covered training drills in agility, coordination, passing and shooting, as well as turns and a range of soccer moves. Mrs Griffiths said after receiving the great response from interested players and very positive feedback from those who attended and their parents, the club hopes to be able to welcome the Celtic coaches back again next year.
