Knight and Clark hit the bowls jackpot…literally!

Mel Singh (new to bowls) and Allan Knight took on Rory Dunlop (new to town) and
Marlene Wynd in Friday night’s social Twilight Bowls game at the Golfie.

David ‘Ooze’ Knight and Greg Clark hit the bowls jackpot (literally) on Friday night when they won the Twilight Bowls event.

The pair finished the evening with a +18 win over Charmaine Arnold (a bowls newbie) and Allan Gardoll and their +18 winning margin earned them the Jackpot prize!

Knight and Clark shared the Jackpot’s $935 cash prize.

Marlene Wynd and Rory Dunlop were the runners-up of the night.

They had a +12 win in their match against Mel Singh and Allan Knight.

In the other game, Mick Harvey and David Kershaw just got the better of Mick McManus and Bel Starr winning by a margin of +2.

With a strong contingent of Cobar bowlers heading to Hillston on Sunday for Hillston’s Summer Pairs Tournament, there was only a small field back home on the Golfie greens.

In the triples game that was played, David Kershaw, David ‘Ooze’ Knight and Allan Knight triumphed over Doug Hudson, Peter ‘Skeet’ Goonrey and Gerard Livingston by a margin of +6.

Cobar faired pretty well at the Summer Pairs event in Hillston with John ‘Shark’ Daly making it to the semi finals along with Tony Polack.

Polack also made it through to the final.

Unfortunately the Hillston/Griffith team finished as the winners of the final to take all the bowls glory.—The Second
