Hair sacrificed for charity

Four brave locals sacrificed their hair in the name of fundraising in a special event at the Empire Hotel on Sunday. Jordy Negfeldt, Debbie Wardman, and eight year olds Cassidy O’Sullivan and Bridgette Negfeldt raised more than $3,300 when they shaved and cut their hair as part of the World’s Greatest Shave fundraising initiative. The event raises funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. The group is pictured with Brush Stop’s Bianca Walsh, who performed the hairdressing duties, and Cindy and Andrew Bryan from the Empire Hotel who provided the venue.
