The Cobar Junior Soccer Club held a Gala and Come & Try Day at Ward Oval on Saturday. Three teams of soccer ‘newbies’ aged three to five years turned out to give some soccer skills a try. A number of Nyngan teams also attended to contest games in the Minis, Mids, Seniors and Opens divisions. Above is an action shot from one of the Mids’ games between two Cobar teams. Dribbling the ball is James Turner with brothers Jarred and Jair Apaza from the opposing team trying to take it off him. The club’s normal competition will recommence this Saturday.
