CSA Mine threw open the gates and welcomed members of the public on Sunday for a fun family day out. Kids were able to get a close look at where their mums and dads go to work, and the machinery used in the mine, while community members took the opportunity to learn more about the mine operations as well as suppliers and contract companies who work with the mine. The underground and surface tours proved very popular with the attendees while mines rescue and airleg drilling demonstrations also attracted the crowds. There was also plenty of activities for the kids including jumping castles, colouring-in, a petting zoo, face painting, hands-on mining activities and lots of freebies to keep them entertained.
