Cobar Probus Club members pleased to catch up after COVID

The Cobar Probus Club members were able to resume their monthly luncheon meetings last week and had a very good roll up last Wednesday for their first meeting back since COVID lockdown.

The members of the Cobar Probus Club last week settled into their new “home” at the Empire Hotel function room with the group holding their first meeting after five months of lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Club president Pauline Hunter said the club will now continue to hold their monthly meetings “unless the virus rears its ugly head too close to Cobar”.

The group enjoyed a scrumptious meal and fellowship which included guest Margaret Braes (an ex Cobar girl) who was back visiting family.

Mrs Hunter said in addition to catching up,  members were invited to share any funny experiences they may have experienced during lockdown.

She also shared a few jokes and stories with members.

“Next month we will be having an Irish themed meeting, so bring along any Irish jokes or stories,” she said.
