Bombs away on yarn project

A group of 12 local ladies on Sunday made a start on knitting, crocheting and French knitting a range of different flowers to be used in Cobar Shire Council and Cobar Arts Council’s Yarn Bombing project to create a living garden. The group is made up of some beginners as well as very competent knitters and crocheters who offer each other instruction, advice and support. The group welcomes more people to go along and join them at their organised meeting times or they can collect patterns to knit at home, in the library or in the pub! “I want to see more people out hooking,” participant Lyn Dowling said.
