Big field of 58 riders for first round of Arena Cross Tri Series

Cobar Auto Club held the first round of the Arena Cross Tri Series on Saturday evening with 58 riders competing for the Regional Australia Bank trophies.

Riders travelled from as far as Wagga Wagga, Cunnamulla, Dubbo, Forbes and Dunedoo to compete.

Nippers Cohan Nicholson, Kobe Peatey, Isabella Pawsey, Leo Wrigley, Clay McDonald, George McDonald, Ryder Anderson and Jackson Eves all had a great time riding in their first motocross event.

The results of the other classes were:

50cc High Powers: 1st Taylor Serafin (Dubbo); 2nd Zaiden Saunders; 3rd Riley Walmsley (Forbes).

65cc 7-9yrs was a full class using all 16 gates: 1st Jonty Halton; 2nd Byron Dennis (Wagga Wagga); 3rd Jack Deveson.

65cc 10-12yrs: 1st Jayke Seeliger (Dubbo).

85cc 9-11yrs: 1st Blake Fox (Dubbo); 2nd Byron Dennis (Wagga Wagga); 3rd Jayke Seeliger.

85cc 12-15yrs: 1st Justin Harron; 2nd Brock Deveson; 3rd Will Ambrose.

Junior Lites: 1st Thomas Geale (Dubbo); 2nd Luke Dinnerville; 3rd Ryda Deveson.

Senior Lites: 1st Trent Wheatley (Dubbo); 2nd Raymond White; 3rd Heath Irwin.

Senior Opens: 1st Adam Beck (Wagga Wagga); 2nd Dion Fitzsimmons; 3rd Craig Konza.

All Powers: 1st Craig Konza; 2nd Adam Beck (Wagga Wagga); 3rd Raymond White.

Greybeards: 1st Ben Dennis (Wagga Wagga); 2nd Dion Fitzsimmons; 3rd Bryan Ambrose.—contributed
