Big crowd for Christmas parade

The Cobar Business Association delivered on their promise to make this year’s Christmas Street Parade “bigger and better” with a huge crowd of spectators turning out Thursday night to witness the long convoy, which included more than 25 vehicles and over 100 people. New for this year’s parade were decorated floats with the Baptist Church’s Nativity float (pictured above at far right) the winner of the inaugural ‘Margaret’s Choice’ best in parade award. Other strong contenders for the title were the Cobar Roosters, the CDMA and the Cobar Shire entries. In addition to late night shopping, the crowd was well entertained by local singers and dancers.
