A shop local focus

Regional Australia Bank and the Cobar Business Association hosted a business breakfast on Friday morning at the Cobar Library meeting room. Guest speaker Ashley Watt (at far right) from Why Leave Town Promotions in Narrabri, spoke about his new book, Why Leave Town, which gives a range of different strategies that local businesses can implement to help encourage people to shop locally. Ashley talked about building a shop local culture, creating local advocates, getting people to think local and ways of rewarding local shoppers.
