Sharpe Shooters and JKM Dynamic Fitness both big winners

Sharpe Shooters Cairo Haronga (WD) defending in Saturday’s Cobar Senior Netball’s Round 13 B Grade game at Ward Oval. The Sharpe Shooters were comprehensive 48-10 winners over their Wildcats opposition.

Sharpe Shooters and JKM Dynamic Fitness were both big winners of their Round 13 senior netball games on Saturday.

Sharpe Shooters outplayed the Wildcats team to comprehensively win their game 48-10 in B Grade while JKM Dynamic Fitness’ shooters well and truly had their eye in to beat Sparks 59-20 in their high scoring A Grade game.

The other two Round 13 scheduled matches resulted in forfeits with Golfie Mystics forfeiting to Brush Stop in B Grade while in A Grade Pumpettes won on a forfeit from Desert Peas.

Sharpe Shooters and Wildcats took to the court first up on Saturday with Sharpe Shooters taking an early 12-1 lead at the first break.

Wildcats struggled all game and, despite getting a few turn overs, they failed to convert on a number of occasions after losing their shooters earlier in the season.

Wildcats trailed 22-3 at the half time break but put in a big third quarter effort to keep Sharpe Shooters on their toes.

Sharpe Shooters kept on their game until the final whistle to finish with a 38 point win.

Despite the lop-sided score, the match was played in excellent spirits with the Sharpe Shooters players giving plenty of encouragement to their Wildcats opposition throughout the match.

The game’s Best & Fairest points were shared by Tatum Brennan and Carli Schulz (Sharpe Shooters) and Stevie Long (Wildcats).

JKM Dynamic Fitness played consistently well throughout their A Grade game against Sparks with their shooters netting 17 goals in the first quarter, 14 in the second, 12 in the third and then 16 points in the final quarter.

JKM Dynamic Fitness’ Kym Sutton and Abby Carswell were best on court with Ellie McLaughlin Sparks’ standout player.
