MTE Mako’s are the potentially dangerous side

A new-look team in this year’s Mixed Open Touch competition, the MTE Mako’s, had a big 20-7 win over Guns N Hoses on Thursday night at Ward Oval

After accounting for last season’s premiers in Round 1, the new-look team in the Open Mixed Touch competition, the MTE Mako’s, have continued their good form and last week recorded a big 20-7 win over Guns N Hoses in Round 2.

Aisha Schofield and Jed Noonan led the scoring for MTE Mako’s recording three touchdowns each.

Team mates, Brianna Watson and Tim Hillam each crossed twice and David Watson, Nikki Gilbert and Myah Sullivan also scored a try each to add to their big tally.

Guns N Hoses’ points came from tries to Jayden Potts (2), Adam Buckman, Beigh Hillier, Kahlie Obray and Noah Forbutt.

(Female tries are worth two points.)
