CPS recognises achievements of students at presentation

Cobar Public School held their annual student presentation ceremony at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club last Tuesday.

Awards for Achievement and Application; Improvement; and Responsible, Respectful Learner were handed out to students in each class.

A Music Literacy award and a Library Achievement & Application award also went to one student from each year level.

The winners of the community sponsored awards were: The Chan Family Award for Science—Rowdy Barton (Gold Team) and Daniel Buckman (Copper Team); The Endeavor Operations Award for Science—Thomas Bryan (Zinc Team); Cobar Shire Council Mathematics Award—Hammad Robbani (Gold) and Shaughnessy Bliss (Copper); the Arthur Conomos Family Award for Mathematics—Anja Kok (Zinc); McMahon Bus Service Technology Award for Computer Literacy—Will Oborn (Gold), Clayton-Jak Colling (Copper), and Riley Urquhart (Zinc); Peak Gold Mine Pty Ltd Performing Arts Award—Hayden Seng (Gold), Tiana Jones (Copper), and Raymond Jones (Zinc).

The Cobar Weekly Association Inc. Awards for General Knowledge were presented to Maddie Chaplain (Gold), Sophie-Anne Chandler (Copper) and Amabella Harvey (Zinc).

The Cobar Public School Academic Excellence Awards were awarded to Anja Kok and Raymond Jones.

Alex Reschke took home the Chloe Martin Memorial All Rounder Award.

The Kathleen Miles Citizenship Award recipient for 2016 was Thomas Bryan.

The recipients for the Positive Behaviour for Learning “Ernie” Awards were Rhys Cull (Gold), Molly Broughton (Copper) and Zac Broughton (Zinc).
