Before WesTrac handed over two new Caterpillar R2900G Underground Loaders to Aurelia Metals at Peak Gold Mines (PGM) on Friday, they took the opportunity for a photo shoot at the COBAR sign. (Pictured are WesTrac’s Mining Business Manager, Western Region NSW, Neil Roberts, Mayor Peter Abbott, PGM GM Craig Thomas, WesTrac’s Mining Sales Manager, Western Region Mining, Richard Peck and Cobar Shire GM Peter Vlatko.) The vehicles, which have been a stalwart in the underground mining industry since the late 1990s, will join Peak’s mining fleet. The vehicles will be supported by staff at the local WesTrac branch. As the major sponsor of the Cobar Miners Race Club Autumn Meeting, WesTrac also had the vehicles on display at the races on Saturday. ▪ Photo courtesy of Samantha Smith, Oh Shoot Photography
