Voting has commenced for Cobar’s favourite business and favourite tradie with the winners to be announced at this year’s Great Cobar Business Awards on September 2.

The Cobar Business Association had a polling booth on Saturday in the main street to collect votes for the two categories.

Cobar Business Association president Sharon Harland said they hoped having a polling booth in the main street would get more members of the public involved in the business awards.

“We’ve tried lots of different ideas in the past to try and get feedback from the public with varying degrees of success,” Mrs Harland said.

“We thought a booth in the main street might be more convenient for shoppers to drop by and vote.”

She said voting is easy, and they are asking people to vote for just one in each category.
