Cobar farewells Dr Raj

Cobar Primary Health Care Centre’s Dr Rajesh Jawajiwar and his family will leave town next month headed for Brisbane. Dr Raj said he has enjoyed working in Cobar and will miss living here. He said he is very grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the community for the past three and a half years. Centre practice manager Bernie Martin (pictured above with Dr Raj) said Cobar has been lucky to have the services of five doctors. She said the centre will probably not be looking to immediately replace Dr Raj as things had quietened down since the Endeavor layoff in January. She said the centre can operate efficiently with three doctors. “We’ll see how things go and may look to recruit another doctor later in the year,” Mrs Martin said.
