Heritage train visits Cobar

Cobar was treated to a visit from a heritage passenger train which stopped in town on Monday. The train was an early 1960s two car diesel rail car which was formerly part of the Newcastle suburban service. The locomotive has been fully restored and is now a part of the Rail Motor Society located in Patterson, NSW. On-board was a private group of 84 train buffs on a tour of western NSW. The trip to Cobar included travelling along the CSA Mine line. Pictured above checking out the train are Renee and Scott Leedham with their son Lukas (who couldn’t take his eyes off the train!).
