The Hatmobile returned to Cobar last weekend, with Waltraud Reiner behind the wheel, to conduct another millinery workshop.

Organised by Outback Arts, the workshop was attended by nine eager participants who spent the weekend creating millinery masterpieces.

The Hatmobile, nicknamed ‘Audrey’, travels Australia packed full of millinery materials and tools which Ms Reiner uses to run millinery classes in country and rural towns.

A millinery veteran with over 30 years of experience designing and teaching in both Australia and overseas, Ms Reiner is passionate about sharing her skills and knowledge with eager students.

She believes that hats are more than just a shelter for the head; they are a powerful means of self-expression.

The workshops are also more than just a craft session—they are an opportunity for personal growth.

The Hatmobile supports the Reach Foundation by connecting with others through classes and tours and aims to aid emotional well-being by providing space, skills and the opportunity for people to express their feelings through colour, texture and shape.
