Security upgraded

Security cameras are being installed this week at the Cobar Cemetery in an effort to protect the cemetery from a repeat of the senseless vandalism that occurred in March 2012 where 75 graves were damaged. The installation of the CCTV cameras is the final stage of the cemetery restoration project which was funded by the community. A total of eight security cameras are to be installed with activity to be monitored and recorded by Cobar Shire Council. Pictured yesterday at the cemetery are groundsman Bruce Shuttle, security system installer Garry Golden from Eacom in Griffith and council staff Stephen Poulter and Melissa Gunn.
